Comparative research · 27 capabilities assessed

Top 10 AI CRMs for sales teams

A comparison of ten CRM platforms with artificial intelligence, assessed across twenty-seven capabilities: how they assign each opportunity to a rep, whether they re-contact on their own when someone stops replying, whether they warn in time so no follow-up is lost, what they measure about the marketing that brings the leads, and what reports each role can ask for. All ten were scored using the official documentation published by each vendor.

Platform by platform

  1. 01LIA27 / 27 *

    What it solves best
Covers all five blocks: a lead pool and automatic assignment as separate mechanisms, follow-ups that run on their own, attribution by post, and reports any role can ask for in plain language.
    Its limit
It is the platform that publishes this comparison and the one topping the ranking: its documentation and the ranking come from the same source. Like the other nine, it was not audited by an independent third party.
  2. 02HubSpot23,5 / 27

    What it solves best
Covers almost the whole journey: sequences that stop when a reply arrives, campaign attribution reports and an assistant that answers questions about the reports themselves.
    Its limit
Eleven capabilities require a higher plan, and several marketing ones live in Marketing Hub, contracted separately from the sales CRM.
    No public evidence
3 / 27 capabilities. No official documentation was found to back them, which does not allow us to say they do not exist.
    Conditioned by plan
11 capabilities require an edition above the entry one.
  3. 03Bitrix2421 / 27

    What it solves best
The most complete reminders block of the group and return analysis by traffic source, all without a single declared plan dependency.
    Its limit
It does not document contact sequences or multichannel re-contact, and its response-time metric belongs to the chat channels, not the CRM.
    No public evidence
5 / 27 capabilities. No official documentation was found to back them, which does not allow us to say they do not exist.
  4. 04Freshsales20,5 / 27

    What it solves best
Scores contacts by behaviour before they close, and brings segmentation and campaigns inside the same product, with no add-on.
    Its limit
The territory distributes but the rep does not choose, and its documentation declares plans with names that are no longer current.
    No public evidence
5 / 27 capabilities. No official documentation was found to back them, which does not allow us to say they do not exist.
  5. 05Pipedrive20 / 27

    What it solves best
Generates a report from a written prompt, and has its own template for reactivating dormant opportunities with sequences.
    Its limit
Eleven capabilities require a higher plan and campaigns are a separate paid add-on: the heaviest commercial dependency of the group.
    No public evidence
5 / 27 capabilities. No official documentation was found to back them, which does not allow us to say they do not exist.
    Conditioned by plan
11 capabilities require an edition above the entry one.
  6. 06monday CRM19,5 / 27

    What it solves best
The best documented round robin of the group, with date reminders and recurring tasks built from the automations.
    Its limit
Its automations cannot be triggered from the activity log, and it documents neither sequences nor attribution by post.
    No public evidence
4 / 27 capabilities. No official documentation was found to back them, which does not allow us to say they do not exist.
    Conditioned by plan
2 capabilities require an edition above the entry one.
  7. 07Zoho CRM17,5 / 27

    What it solves best
The only one whose cadences go out by email, call, task and WhatsApp, with an assistant that builds reports through conversation.
    Its limit
Its assignment rules only run on records from import, web form or API, and campaigns live in a separate product.
    No public evidence
7 / 27 capabilities. No official documentation was found to back them, which does not allow us to say they do not exist.
    Conditioned by plan
2 capabilities require an edition above the entry one.
  8. 08Salesforce17 / 27

    What it solves best
The only external platform where the lead pool was verified with both of its conditions, with native campaign attribution and configurable models.
    Its limit
Cadences are part of Sales Engagement, at extra cost in Professional and Enterprise, and six capabilities were left without accessible public evidence.
    No public evidence
8 / 27 capabilities. No official documentation was found to back them, which does not allow us to say they do not exist.
    Conditioned by plan
7 capabilities require an edition above the entry one.
  9. 09Kommo14,5 / 27

    What it solves best
Fires the re-contact X hours after the last incoming message and sends it over WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook, with dynamic segments for broadcasts.
    Its limit
All the automation lives inside its bot, not in the CRM: it depends on the bot being active and on the conversation going through it.
    No public evidence
9 / 27 capabilities. No official documentation was found to back them, which does not allow us to say they do not exist.
  10. 10Leadsales11,5 / 27

    What it solves best
Workload-based distribution as an alternative to rotation, and tags with bulk actions for building segmented broadcasts.
    Its limit
It documents neither automatic follow-up, nor sequences, nor reporting of its own: it is the one that could accredit the fewest capabilities of the ten.
    No public evidence
12 / 27 capabilities. No official documentation was found to back them, which does not allow us to say they do not exist.

What was assessed in each platform

Twenty-seven capabilities with equal weight, grouped into five blocks. A verified capability adds one point; one that exists but is limited adds half a point; one without sufficient official evidence adds zero.

Assignment · how the lead reaches the rep

Manual assignment
Someone can assign the opportunity by hand.
Automatic assignment
The system distributes on its own, without intervention.
Round robin
Rotation by turns among the reps on the team.
Configurable rules
Conditions that decide who each opportunity goes to.
Team or territory
Distribution respects teams, areas or portfolios.
Shift or availability
It does not assign to someone off-shift or away.
Lead pool or queue
Reps see the available opportunities and can take them.

Assignment · what happens next and what gets measured

Manual reassignment
Change owner by hand, one at a time or in bulk.
Automatic reassignment
The system changes owner without intervention.
Owner history
It records who reassigned, when, and from whom.
Roles and permissions
Each person sees and edits only what belongs to them.
Performance by rep
Comparable results across the people on the team.
Response time
How long the team takes to answer a new enquiry.
Follow-ups per user
Open tasks and pending items for each rep.
Management visibility
Leadership sees the whole operation, not just their own.

Proactivity · re-contacting without anyone remembering

Follow-up on inactivity
The system detects that someone stopped replying and acts on its own after a set time.
Contact sequences
Chained steps that stop when the person replies.
Multichannel re-contact
Follow-up goes out over WhatsApp or chat, not only email.

Reminders · so no follow-up is lost

Automatic tasks
The system creates the task on its own when the event happens.
Due-date alerts
It warns before something is due, not after.
Inactive lead alert
It flags opportunities that have gone days without action.

Marketing · knowing what brings the leads and at what quality

Attribution by post
How many leads each post, ad or campaign brought, and how each one converted.
Lead quality by source
Comparing the quality of what comes in through each channel without waiting for it to close.
Segmentation for broadcasts
Choosing who to send a promotion to by profile or score.

Reports · so each role can ask its own question

Custom reports
Building a report with whichever fields and filters you want.
Self-service by role
The rep sees their own performance without asking anyone.
Plain-language queries
Asking for the report in words, without building it field by field.

How the score was calculated

Each of the twenty-seven capabilities is worth one point, so the maximum is twenty-seven. A verified capability adds a full point; one that exists but does not cover the whole function adds half a point; one without sufficient official evidence adds zero. The score out of ten is the total divided by twenty-seven, times ten.

The five blocks do not weigh the same as each other because they do not hold the same number of capabilities: assignment contributes fifteen of the twenty-seven points. That is deliberate, because it is the block that most determines whether a sales team works, but it is worth knowing when comparing.

A capability requiring a higher plan does not subtract points: the capability exists and the commercial requirement is shown separately, in its own column. Price is assessed as a separate criterion.
